Milwaukee, WI – August 13, 2024 – ECP, a leading provider of software to over 7,500 senior living and other long-term care communities, proudly announces its successful attainment of SOC 2 Type II compliance without qualification. An unqualified opinion on a SOC 2 Type II audit report underscores ECP’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data security, availability, and confidentiality for its clients in the senior living and long-term care sectors. Achieving this compliance without qualification means that ECP’s systems and processes met or exceeded all the audit criteria, with no exceptions or areas needing improvement noted by the auditor.
SOC 2 Type II compliance, established by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), is a rigorous audit process that evaluates an organization’s controls. First, it evaluates whether the controls are appropriately designed to meet the organization’s security objectives. This means that the controls should theoretically mitigate risks and protect client data. Then, during the observation period, the auditor examines if these controls are actually in place and functioning as intended, providing evidence that the company consistently applies these controls in its day-to-day operations. Over 100 pieces of evidence were tested to support the more than 70 controls that were in place. There were no exceptions noted.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance without qualification is a significant milestone for ECP,” said Adam Helitzer, Chief Strategy Officer at ECP. “This compliance not only demonstrates our dedication to protecting our clients’ data but also reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and customer trust. Having a third-party auditor validate our processes without any qualifications further solidifies our position as a trusted partner in the industry.”
ECP’s SOC 2 Type II compliance is part of its broader strategy to provide reliable and secure software solutions for over 7,500 senior living communities, group homes, and other long-term care settings across all 50 states. By achieving this compliance, ECP continues to demonstrate its leadership in delivering secure, efficient, and compliant software solutions that enhance the quality of care for residents and streamline operations for caregivers.
